Claus Ebberfeld commented on the post, Alfa GTV and Ferrari 308 same price? When the market is wrong! 5 years, 6 months ago
But would that keep you away from the 308 with the bidding paddle, @dave? :-)
Surely the Gooding & Co auction was the big hitter of 2020, @tony, but there has been some pretty serious new players chiming in too […]

The good news is that apparently our classic car hobby is doing just fine.
That, at least, is my overall conclusion after Hagerty’s announcement last week released figures from their analysis of the UK […]

With events cancelled and therefore fewer things to drive your classic car to let us turn our attention to where it is parked up.
I am not only an optimist but also like to see the bright side of everything. […]

Well, @dave, I am pretty sure you are right that EV’s would have to be part of the show, but haven’t they proved all by themselves that they can’t keep the show going on their own?
I agree with you, @andrew, […]

Claus Ebberfeld commented on the post, Making 2021 Count! 5 years, 6 months ago
I’d even set the percentage lower, Dave: “If 90% of the thrills can be had right now rather than waiting for 100% of the thrills at some poorly defined point future, I know what I’ll choose”- and I’d still c […]

Claus Ebberfeld commented on the post, Can you upcycle a Mazda MX5 into a pre-war Grand Prix Alfa Romeo? 5 years, 7 months ago
Very much my feelings too, @niels-v. This MX5 is brilliant and this bastard can’t possibly be as good. And viewed as an Alfa they got the engine all wrong.
I believe there’s a Maserati 250F-replica out the […]

Some people believe so. I don’t. But what is it then?
Regular readers will know I adhere pretty strongly to the “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it”-brigade as well as being a firm believer in “original is best”. […]

Claus Ebberfeld commented on the post, Would the Porsche 924 have been more respected if it had come after the 928? 5 years, 7 months ago
Personally I’d have the 924 Turbo, as it was the rarest and had the power, @tony.
But @peter, I’ll admit that I secretly prefer the shape of the 944, that had the visual muscle as well.

I quite like the 924. But apparently not many do. Maybe it could have been different.
You can not mention the Porsche 924 without someone promptly asking whether that’s “the one with the Audi engine”. As if that […]

Some of the most legendary racing ever took place on public roads and now is the perfect time to revive the tradition.
You miss racing too, right? And reading this on the retrospheric platform at ViaRETRO I […]

Three great examples of strong designs, @jakob – and I might add the traditional black British cab to that bunch.

@tony, my last drive shall be proper black, surely. And not in a cab!
