Owned one of these some years ago: Really a lovely car in every way!

The easiest “fuel” to produce at home is electricity. So I would choose a simple, light but roomy, electric modified vehicle, with high ground clearance.
Chance of meeting anyone else on the road at high speed […] -

It is strange that the two-tone Mercedes coupé is listed as a 1967 2,2 , even in the DVLA, as the 120 hp 220SE was replaced by the 150 hp 250SE in second half of 1965.
Only about 5000 250SEs were built, before […] -

The shown model looks more like an early sixties one.
Astounding how it has almost the same “too many layers in the cake” design as the Skoda Octavia. -

Christian’s LWB 2+2/S3, from our Møn trip, had just the right amount of shape dampening to make it look really good:

I am a designer myself and I agree that black is a shape damping “colour”. Which is nice if your (company) car is a really ugly recent one, with too many design lines going all over the place.
If a classic car […]

With a V8 it is called the Vedette. Ariane was the same big car but with a much smaller “French” sized engine.
They probably inherited the idea of calling the same car different things from Ford. The Vedette […] -

I know it’s probably some kind of luxury option with 4 headlights, but that just makes it look very east-block’y and a bit like a Nissan pick-up from the early 80ies. I would go for the more original look.

The Mercedes and the Capri are both based on 60ies technology, like your 2002, so you are covered there.
So I would go for the 944, based on the late 70ies 924, probably with some reasonable updates and […] -

I see it as a very early Renault Avantime: A vanshaped stylish, rather expensive and not very practical leisure mobile.
If you wanted a boxy practical VW, you could just get a Kombi/bus/221.
It’s too bad […]

During this week I had the chance to drive a 1975 C303, and having earlier tried noisy 1970ies Land Rovers, I expected the worst… But it was easy and quiet to drive, at low speeds, so now I am a little bit in love.

I dont’t make the rules. Which classic cars works for you are up to gut feelings and personal preferences.
This particular one even got to be a 1990ies car also, so maybe the 1980ies version isn’t too bad? -

As a 1980ies car with a 1960ies body, it is easy do demean. But it’s red, Italian and open – so who cares about age?

Like The Citroën TA and the MG TD, 1950ies cars with 1930ies bodies feel as wrong as Egyptian 1990ies built Peugeot 504 taxies, even though they all might be fine cars.
