Well, @dave, I am pretty sure you are right that EV’s would have to be part of the show, but haven’t they proved all by themselves that they can’t keep the show going on their own?
I agree with you, @andrew, […]

@andrew, not forgetting the not one but two German films dedicated to the Manta B and it’s drivers – Manta,Manta – (from whence came the song you mention) and Manta – Der Film.
There was even a strand of jokes […] -
Tony Wawryk commented on the post, Prime Find of the Week: A BMW 3.0CSi for Less Than £20,000 – Too Good to be True? 4 years, 9 months ago
@Andrew, the body of the E9 was indeed made by Karmann, and as such received inferior rust protection when compared to BMW’s own bodies. I had a few rust issues to deal with on the one I ran.
I did report back […]

Interestingly the car now seems to be at auction – at least so the updated ad description says. I have no idea where, though. But maybe you can grab yourself a bargain, @andrew!

Claus Ebberfeld commented on the post, My first exotic: Jensen Interceptor 5 years ago
@andrew, I know the reputation of the Interceptor. of course – but as always I am an optimist: Surely it can’t be THAT bad?!?
I brimmed the car in Copenhagen and drove it back here, but haven’t yet refuelled […]

I acknowledge the old spoof saying that “Motorsport is dangerous to your wealth”, @andrew and @dave :-). There is some truth in that other saying that it can in fact become just as expensive as you want it to: […]

Nice to know I’m not the only one to appreciate these funky early eighties French coupés… :-)
@Andrew, well, if they’re rare in France, then no wonder they’re practically extinct here in the UK.
@Tony, I […]

@Andrew, I asked a similar question here: https://viaretro.com/2018/04/wood-or-leather/
And I would agree with you – whether choosing a wooden or leather steering wheel depends very much upon the car you intend […]

@Andrew, I don’t think that’s unfair at all. While we’re strong advocates of a Gentlemanly behaviour at ViaRETRO, it’s also a place where we should always be allowed to share our honest opinions without being […]

@andrew, amazing how you wiped out most of what Lamborghini is about these days in one single line – “most of the post 1973 production”! I’d say that the Countach is vulgar in a way I can very much relate to, […]

Claus Ebberfeld commented on the post, The 100,000 Euro Question 5 years, 3 months ago
@andrew , I KNOW that it is possible to have fun for a lot less than 100,000 Euros – I just need to take a look out in my current garage!
However you’re touching on an important point: One should also r […]

@andrew, I too agree that it’s most definitely possible to have a whole lot of fun for a lot less than Euro 100k. […]

@andrew,

I am glad to present old news that can be of benefit and inspiration in today’s world, @andrew : And as a driver of British roadsters for many years I fully understand the charm of the tent as well.

My pleasure, @andrew. The weather was less than kind on the Saturday that race took place (I wasn’t there), but watching the YT coverage, the track looks ok. I think though that with such a large number of cars of […]

This classic car show junkie ( ;-) ) has to agree with Søren – unless the Boano really was a rusty wreck as @andrew suggests it might have been, then converting it to the GTZ is just wrong. Even if it was, why […]
