@gteglman, HaHaHa… well, I’m glad you feel the Bitter CD would suit me. Frankly, I’m sure you’re right. ;-)
However, at EUR 89k, I would have to sell ALL of my Bavarian collection – and I’d still be short by […] -

@gteglman, I’ll give you that it was a damned good bluff though. ;-)
It almost worked too, as I did indeed start dreaming of the excellent V8 Bitter.
Sadly reality (or we could expand and call it financial […] -

@gteglman, oh yes please!! I would love a Bitter CD. A fascinating GT indeed…
Uhmmm… but for the sake of a Montecarlo / Bagheera comparison, if you would now please find me clean, usable example in similar […] -

@gteglman, I must say that I’m impressed by your restraint and impeccable behaviour! ;-)
I do realise that neither the Montecarlo nor the Bagheera will have build quality anywhere near my Bavarian classics. […]

@gteglman, in case you end up in Oxfordshire, do make sure to combine it with a Sunday Scramble at Bicester Heritage. Trust you me, you won’t regret it! – even though there are usually a couple of Montecarlos to […]

The red Speedster didn’t sell – bidding stopped at £180k against a lower estimate of £195k; it was announced as a provisional sale but the buyer and vendor clearly didn’t m […] -

@gteglman I guess we’re unlikely ever to agree on the Montecarlo :-), but regarding the brakes, while I accept that it shouldn’t have been a problem in the first place, I understood this problem was solved in the […]

@gteglman raises some interesting points that go to the root of why we like and sometimes buy a classic – or indeed any car – and would form the basis of a multi-hour, multi-drinks discussion into the night – p […]

@gteglman the engine in my tii has done only 8500 miles (8000 of them by me), and certainly feels peppy, though I couldn’t swear that it produces 130bhp – maybe I should put it on a rolling road sometime.

@yrhmblhst the TR7 coupe’s styling has always split opinion; personally, I prefer the drophead, but readily admit that the tin-top is more practical – for a start, the drophead leaked…
