I do have better photos of the 2002, Anders – but had to prioritize and chose the unbelievable survivor of a Wartburg Tourist over the BMW.
Totally agree on the Honda S800 – I had actually chosen one as Prime […]

Thanks, gentlemen. The Capri was unbelievable, actually – all original condition? The buyer told me afterwards that he didn’t think a car like that would exist at all.
Anders, the Ceylon gold 2002 sold as […]

As usual, the variety was huge this weekend as this classic car show opened the season for Northern Germany and Scandinavia alike: Bremen is well worth a visit.
Especially, that is, if affordable classics are […]

Right, Tony – I agree with the 507, which is a truly beautiful car. To be honest I forgot it as I see it as being in a league of its own. Which is also the case financially.
However I honestly think the E24 […]

Claus Ebberfeld commented on the post, Prime Find of the Week: Is the Gamma Finally Coming of Age? 8 years, 8 months ago
Well, Jesper – I am sort of glad that we don’t agree as “my” Gamma Coupé absolutely MUST have velour. If everybody else goes for leather I can have my Gamma all for myself :-)

I was wondering about the headlights as well, Dave – it made me suspicious that the panel gaps around them seems impossibly tight for a homebuilt glassfibre body. I guess that they are actually not functional. […]

Is the 6-series the most beautiful BMW ever? It’s certainly not the most expensive.
Full report from Bremen Classic Motorshow coming up!

I look forward to the day when we are actually going to share a car, Anders.

Two words: No velour.

Have you ever heard of the spectacular Molzon Corsa from 1968?
No? Then read on – and weep!Truth be told, I’d never heard of it either. But as I learnt a bit more, it became painfully clear that I had […]

I can very, very much recommend a visit in the German Eifel mountains for the Eifel Rally Festival: Besides a plethora of the great Seventies stuff you can add more Group B than anywhere else, obscurities from […]

By the way: I absolutely agree with Anders regarding the interior colours of the 130 Coupé. It MUST be garish velours galore!
In fact I saw one for sale with original purple velour. It was screaming. In a good way.

Claus Ebberfeld commented on the post, Prime Find of the Week: Is the Gamma Finally Coming of Age? 8 years, 8 months ago
Unfortunately the Gamma sort of worries me in general! Besides the design fault in the engine department it simply does not seem to be built the the standard you’d expect of such an expensive car – expensive then, […]

Claus Ebberfeld commented on the post, Specialist Sports Cars at Their Prettiest 8 years, 8 months ago
As my keeper classic is one of the most succesful specialist sports cars of them all, a Reliant Scimitar GTE (or would you say that the Scimitar range was so succesful that it was no longer “special”?), I guess it […]

The admiration for the Gamma Coupé runs right across the editorial office here at ViaRETRO: Let me confess too! However I always found the lines rather colour sensitive and like Tony don’t think the red does it […]

I absolutely fell in love all over again when I came across an old photo of a Blaupunkt radio with the famous goose neck extension – the hottest car stereo in the world!
More specifically, it was the picture […]

Dave beat me to the bronze RX7! Damn, then I’ll have to go with the Berlinetta Boxer. Or the De Tomaso Longchamp? Not exactly one you see everyday – at least not here in Denmark. This time of the year…

Clearly more research is needed on this rather important matter. My old 250 Coupé actually came with a cassette with “The best of Dr. Hook” which was really too new for the car.

I can relate to that way of thinking, Anders – only when it comes to putting my money where my mouth is, I usually chicken out and go for more secure grounds. For me and my knowlegde, that is.
Either that or […]
