What a brilliant concept, “Drive Dad’s Car”! As well as the focus of the museum as such.
Also very refreshing to read an honest review of the Triumph TR7 by a sufficiently stylish groover like Dave.
I must […]

That Aston Martin DB4! At that price it seems ridiculous to state that it seems such good value against the DB5 – but then I always loved the DB4.
And the Triumph Stag in what I believe is Topaz? Great […]

You could certainly have done worse than that CD, @dave. In one of my cars (not so modern as yours and therefore on cassette) I had a Dr. Hook compilation which always made me wonder how few great songs they […]

Such a great car, the Marcos GT: I absolutely agree that it is a viable alternative to an E-type. Although in direct comparison it has several shortcomings to the Jag it balances them out with that lovely bonkers- […]

Thanks, @Tony! I’ll actually try to set up a comparison test with the Deauville and an XJ at some later stage as the similarities are really very obvious.
And in terms of wording we certainly consider the car […]

Yes, it’s actually a true story: A new car has finally arrived in the garages, and the new De Tomaso Deauville is really something quite exotic.
Really exotic, in fact. Many car enthusiasts will probably never […] -

As I refueled the red Ferrari 308 GTB on that Thursday morning a week ago, I could not help but think back on how much that model has meant to me – and many other car enthusiasts.
Over six years ago, on the […] -

Ehrm, obviously that is only the main tour of 2021: I sure hope to put together lots and lots of smaller trips as well…in something else, maybe.

I’ll be going to the Alps in my Alpine A310: My wife as codriver and good company in the form of friends in Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Iso and Porsche. Simple living!
And no, you should not just fly instead, that’s […]

Claus Ebberfeld commented on the post, The Unpure Thoroughbred 3 years, 7 months ago
True that complex does not necessarily mean better, but then it doesn’t have to be: In the Super-GT-class of cars it just has to be more desirable, and nothing beats a V12 in that respect.

Claus Ebberfeld commented on the post, The Unpure Thoroughbred 3 years, 7 months ago
Well, it IS a star already – well always was, in fact, as the car was undeniably both fast and beautiful. But at the same time is is definitely true that the off-the-shelf engines hold the Grifo back.
I would […]

Claus Ebberfeld commented on the post, Aston Martin will do better in Formula One than the last time 3 years, 7 months ago
That could be an extremely interesting plot, @yrhmblhst, as that would require Bernie to get back too. I am all for it, actually!

If you recall how the original F1 of 1992 used a bespoke V12 built by BMW you might be surprised by the fact that the MP4-12C of 2011 had to do with a redundant Nissan engine.
Ahh, engines! Wonderfully complex […] -

I absolutely LOVED this period of touring car racing that spawned no less than three great modern classics: The M3, the Mercedes 190 and the Sierra RS Cosworth. However I also loved the years that went immediately […]

Relativity is a wonderful thing. Without it the world would be a more boring place AND it would be difficult to tell.
