No complete classic cars stuffed under the Christmas tree for me either.
But my wife and daughters did gift me the ‘UK Circuit Guide’ in book form by CircuitGuides.com. It’s quite an amazing compilation of […]

Tony, do I hear you suggesting a restomod 130 Coupé with an 8.32 engine transplant…?!?!?

The Morris Minor: A legend in its own right. A true peoples car. Charming. Rugged. Cute. Durable. A proper classic.
There is heaps to be said about the brilliant little Morris Minor –Â HEAPS! But in reality, […]

Claus, like you I can appreciate both.
In my younger days, I was very much a N/A-fanatic. I simply didn’t believe in force-induction. During that time I had a taste of Honda’s brilliant engineering as well. […]

Interesting information Jesper. I must admit that the only Thema I’ve ever driven, was a normally aspirated 2-litre car with an automatic gearbox. It was very comfortable, but also very boring and certainly also […]

I think you may very well be right about the rear spoiler Dave. Other early ones which spring to mind are VW Corrado and Porsche 964, but they were both a couple of years after the Thema 8.32.
Severely cool […] -

Tony, Opel have indeed got quite a number of very interesting classics! I agree with every single Opel you mention above, but also don’t forget the Kadett C GT/E Coupé – I’ve always had quite a weak spot for one […]

Hmmmm… scratch that then!
But Dave’s Manta article from today has me thinking… :-)

Interesting perspective Dave. Being a Scandi – or mainland European I suppose – I tend to view the Manta and the Cavalier Coupé as equals. But I suppose they’re not. Extremely similar – yes. Equal – no.
On […]

Hmmm… what’s the going rate for a really-good-but-nowhere-near-concurs Ritmo 130TC at the moment?
And does anyone here have thoughts on using one as a daily? -

Erik, I’m probably just romanticising everything that is old, but it seems so much more authentic watching Cannonball Run on VHS… :-)
Even if Youtube makes it so much easier to go back, merely by the click of […] -

Historically Volvo is not usually associated with the most sexy, evocative and elegant of designs. Funny then, that this is precisely what they produced for 12 years up through the Sixties and early […]

I know Dave. And yes, the 505 at Bicester was delicious! So, seeing as I can’t afford an E30 325i, a Capri 2.8i, or a 75 V6, should I perhaps consider revisiting 505-ownership? Would that make me happier than […]

Claus, I too would love to own a sexy Toyota!
Arguably I already have with my ’77 Toyota Trueno 1600GT Sprinter. But I miss that cool little coupé, and want another. I doubt it’ll ever be a modern Toyota […] -

Yup, pretty clever!
I wonder whether I should sacrifice a bit of boot space in my wife’s Saab 9-5 estate for one of these ingenious solutions?? ;-) -

I hear what you are both saying regarding Peugeots of that era. You’re probably right too if we’re talking 205 or 309. But I have to point out, that I would rate my old 505 GTi from ’84 every bit as reliable, […]

There are of course plenty of great car movies for us enthusiasts to enjoy and geek out about. I’m also sure we all have an opinion about which is the best – and about which just aren’t worthy. Being an easil […]
