Visual Sunday: There Was a Time When Everything Was Simpler

Jappic was a small monoposto with interesting proportions. Its teardrop aluminium body dates back to 1925 and was designed by H.M. Walters and constructed by coachbuilder Jarvis Wimbledon. The Chassis was made of ash wood, and it was powered by a 350 cc single-cylinder JAP engine placed in front of the driver and a three-speed gearbox. The rear wheels where chain-driven and the brakes only worked on the rear wheels. As can be seen here, it was also a very light construction.
