It’s probably fair to assume that very few people will ever consider the third generation as the epitome of Mustang history. That said, when launched in 1979, it was still a massive improvement over the lacklustre second generation car. Furthermore, the third generation managed to remain in production for all of 15 years, so surely it can’t have been all bad. Question is, would you – or do you – drive one as a classic today?
