At last! A full-on, classic car event to go to! Last weekend saw the twice-postponed Bicester Scramble take place, and for the first time, over both days of the weekend. Unsurprisingly, Saturday and Sunday were sold out in advance and as usual, there was a huge variety of classics on display, both from clubs and individual enthusiasts. Indeed, it’s the variety as well as the venue that makes these Scrambles such a joy to attend. On Sunday – the day I went – the sun was shining (sometimes, anyway), the workshops that provide so much added interest at this most evocative location were open, people were smiling and hundreds of classics gleamed in the occasional June sun– a glorious day.
As I’m moving house this week, I don’t have time to write a full report on the event (sighs of relief all round) but I’m confident that the randomly-organised photographs below will give you a good idea of just what a great event it was.
