The Aston Martin V8 Vantage was first introduced in 1977. Though it was based on the ordinary V8 from 1972, power output and all the rest had been modified enough to lift the car from its GT-status to what some people called “Britains First Supercar”. Initially it produced 375hp which was enough to propel the Aston Martin to a topspeed of 170mph. During its 12 year long lifespan a total of 534 were built. Is the Aston Martin V8 Vantage in truth the only supercar that a proper Gentleman should be seen in?
