Many view Zagato as the master of evocative and stunning automotive design. With cars like the 1952 Fiat Otto Vu Zagato, the 1954 Maserati A6G Berlinetta Zagato, and the 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Zagato, it might at first seem a difficult claim to counter. But then there’s the 1963 Lancia Flavia Sport Zagato. With looks so awkward that not even a mother could possibly love it, surely one must at this point question Zagato’s talent – or lack of? I wonder; is there any ViaRETRO reader who dares admit the he or she finds this design pretty, beautiful or appealing in any context of the word?
